COVID-19 Update from the Owner of Just Like Home Adult Day Center
I realize that you all are being inundated with news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and recognize that this can be overwhelming. I did, however, want to take a minute to let you know that we are still open and providing service to our clients. We are an “essential” service, as we know that many individuals are dependent upon us for their daily assistance, and supervision and safety. For this, I MUST recognize and THANK our tremendous staff!
In order to continue to provide quality care, we have had to increase some of the precautionary measures (sanitizing, PPE, health screenings, employee training, etc…) in our daily operations and procedures, as the safety of our staff, and the clients we serve (in your home – ComForCare Home Care, in our facility – Just Like Home Adult Day Center) is our number 1 priority!
We continue to monitor the complex and rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and are reacting and adjusting accordingly. We are following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure that we are making consistent, fact-based decisions about our operations, and keeping everyone involved safe.
It is imperative that we continue to follow the advised precautions for the safety of our community, staff and clients. In order to do this, we are requesting your assistance:
1). If you are sick or have been exposed to the Coronavirus, please notify us prior to your scheduled appointment time. Safety (caregiver and client) MUST be the number 1 priority. If you have a home care appointment, please notify us prior to the caregiver arrival. If you are coming to the Day Center, please stay home.
2). If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact our office at (262) 674-1515 (ComForCare Home Care) or 262-423-4411 (Just Like Home Adult Day Center), as promptly as possible, so our Care Coordinator can maximize the use of our staff, and have time to rearrange schedules appropriately.
3). When our staff/caregivers are with you, please avoid physical contact unless personal cares are absolutely necessary. Our staff will ALWAYS greet you with a warm smile, but not a handshake at this time.
4). Please wash your hands with soap and water frequently for 20 seconds prior to our arrival (ComForCare Home Care), and prior to attending/and at arrival (Just Like Home Adult Day Center). Please feel free to instruct and remind all of our caregivers to do so as well. Our caregivers will wear appropriate PPE (masks, gloves, and gowns) if necessary.
5). If any of our caregivers are sick, we will ask that they stay home and get well so as to not put you in danger. Therefore, we will ask for your patience and understanding with regards to home care scheduling, and day center operating hours.
6). Finally, our office hours (ComForCare Home Care) are temporarily 9:00 – 2:00, and the Adult Day Center is 7:30 – 4:00. We can always be reached on the ComForCare on-call phone, so reach out to us if needed at (262) 674-1515.
We thank you in advance for your patience during this most challenging and unprecedented time.
Be safe.
Be well.
Be diligent.
We will get through this together!
Dave Morbeck and all of our Care Staff.
